Privacy policy

This policy explains what information StellaQuin ("we", "us") collects, why, and what we do with it. StellaQuin is a service for managing customer reviews of a business. The short version: we collect only what we need to run the service, we never sell it, and we never use it for advertising.

What we collect

When you ask for early access

• Your name, work email, business name and number of locations.
• What you use for reviews today, if you choose to tell us.

We use these only to contact you about StellaQuin and to understand who it should be built for.

When you use the service

• Account information: your name, email address and a protected form of your password, and the same for people you invite.
• Business information from Google: when you connect a Google Business Profile, the business locations you manage and their reviews, ratings and replies. See "Data from Google" below.
• What you write in StellaQuin: replies, saved replies, notes and settings.
• Basic technical records: the date and time of requests and the address they came from, kept briefly to keep the service secure and working.

Data from Google

StellaQuin's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

• We access your Google Business Profile only after you connect it with Google's own sign-in, and only to show you your locations and reviews, to post the replies you choose to post, and to send you the alerts and summaries you ask for.
• We do not post, change or delete anything on your Google Business Profile unless someone on your team asks us to.
• We do not sell Google data, use it for advertising, or use it to build profiles of anyone.
• We do not use Google data to train general artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
• People at StellaQuin do not read your Google data, except with your permission to help you with a problem, when needed for security, or when the law requires it.
• You can disconnect at any time, in StellaQuin or in your Google account's security settings. When you disconnect, we stop collecting Google data and delete what we stored from it within 30 days.

How we use information

• To provide the service: showing reviews, posting replies, sending alerts, and keeping your account working.
• To keep it safe: preventing misuse, protecting accounts and investigating problems.
• To contact you about your account, changes to the service and, with early access, your invitation.

Who else handles it

We use a small number of providers to run StellaQuin. Each handles information only to provide its part of the service to us:

• Our hosting provider, which runs the servers in the United States.
• Cloudflare, which delivers the website and protects it from attacks.
• Our email provider, which sends account emails and alerts.
• Our payment provider, once paid plans begin. We never see or store full card numbers.

We share information otherwise only when the law requires it, or to protect people from harm.

How long we keep it

• Early-access details: until you ask us to remove them, or until you have an account.
• Account and business data: while your account is open. When you close it, we delete it within 30 days, and from backups within a further 30 days.
• Technical records: up to 30 days.

How we protect it

Connections to StellaQuin are encrypted. Stored secrets, such as connection keys, are encrypted. Backups are encrypted so that only we can open them, and they are kept in more than one place. Access to the servers is limited and protected.

Your choices and rights

You can see, correct, export or delete your information, and disconnect Google, at any time. For anything you can't do in the app, email [email protected] and we'll answer within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, and we'll honor them.

Cookies and visit counts

StellaQuin uses only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising cookies, and we don't track you across other websites.

Our public website counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify you. It tells us how many people visit and which pages they read. The StellaQuin app itself tracks nothing.

Children

StellaQuin is a business service and isn't meant for anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell account holders by email before the change takes effect.
